Jesus Chronicles - Western Wall

The picture is of the Western Wall (also called the Wailing Wall), in the Old City of Jerusalem, a place of prayer and pilgrimage sacred to the Jewish people. It is the only remains of the retaining wall surrounding the Temple Mount, site of the First and Second Temples of Jerusalem, considered uniquely sacred by the ancient Jews. The original height of this wall was about 60 meters. The Dome of the Rock is visible behind the Western Wall.
