Now count back 6 days and get Friday, March 31, AD 30, when Jesus travelled to Bethany. Christians take the first Sunday after the Passover of the Jews (full moon) as Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday is then celebrated as Jesus’ Resurrection Day. The Friday just before Easter Sunday is celebrated as Good Friday, the day Jesus was crucified. Then the Saturday before Good Friday is taken as the day Mary anointed Jesus’ feet. The Sunday, 1 week before Easter Sunday, is celebrated as Palm Sunday.
