Why was that Preparation Day a special one for the Jews?

According to Reference 18, the next day after the crucifixion was Friday, the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. According to Moses’ precepts, a Sabbath. The day after that was Saturday and therefore the weekly Sabbath. So, there was 2 Sabbaths in a row. So, the bodies would have had to remain on the crosses for the 2 Sabbaths because they were not allowed to work on the Sabbath.erence 18.
